Aside from its famous Chocolate Hills and Tarsiers, Bohol holds one of the most wonderful beaches in the Philippines, The Panglao Beach. It has also great islands to explore; good spot for diving and snorkeling. Too bad for me, I did not bring anything for the beach…

For the best way to explore the other side of Bohol is to take the Island Hopping Tour. It is a half day to whole day (if you wish) of different activities, starting from dolphin watching at an early morning – snorkeling at Balicasag Island – to wandering or swimming at the Sand Bar of Pungtud Island.

The tour starts at 6:00am and I had a hard time waking up from last night’s couple of beers with our new friends from  the  Inland Day Tour.

And the activities are as follows….

1. Dolphin Watching

Words from the Boat Man “Dolphins are rarely seen in this kind of weather…”
Oh please do not rain! Heavy dark clouds, the sea is wavy and the weather seems not good on this day. But lucky almost an hour of sailing, whistling, searching and waiting – it becomes a sunny day!

I’ve seen one…! two…! three…! and more! Everyone was shouting! My friend (Girlee) pointing every direction of the Dolphins she sees and I do not know where or which am I supposed to point my camera at. They were so fast!

These two are late for their morning exercises!

2. Snorkeling (Balicasag Island)

Used to be as a secret virgin island of Bohol, the Balicasag Island is now known as one of the top destinations when it comes to snorkelling and diving. A favorite among its visitors, the fish or marine sanctuary is the main attraction of this place… (Click here to read more about Balicasag Island)

Entrance Fee: 150Php (For Snorkeling Gears, Tour Guide/Boatman and Boat rental going to the sanctuary).
Camera cover rental: 200Php

3. Sandbar (Pungtud Island)

It’s going low tide. But with this state of the sea water, I guess it will take more than two hours to finally walk on the Sandbar. We call this state… (Read more, click here)

Budget Travel Advice
For a cheaper or an affordable way to explore Bohol, come in this place as a GROUP and opt for this TOUR.
